As close to going barefoot as possible

I love being barefoot. Nothing can beat the feeling of naked feet on grass, earth, rock, etc.

I was an occasional barefooter for quite a few years then in the last 5 years or so I have looked for every opportunity to shed my shoes and dance upon the earth.

It has been an amazing transformation; I can walk on just about anything now with little pain or discomfort.

My body has realigned itself as well since I am now walking with a much more natural gait. Not perfect yet but what can I expect seeing that my body was forced to accept unnatural postural changes for so many years due to wearing shoes. It takes time to heal.

I have encountered a number of relatively minor foot, leg, and hip issues since making the change but with massage, Rolfing, and dedication I have for the most part put all of that behind me.

Now if I try to wear a regular pair of shoes my body protests. The more expensive brands like Mephisto and Finn Comfort feel even worse than regular sneakers. To me wearing shoes is like trying to change a watch battery while wearing heavy winter gloves; there is no feeling or real control over the process.

Good thing I found Vivo Barefoot shoes. The sensitivity of thin leather moccasins, the durability of a rubber sole, and no silly raised heel to throw off my natural center of gravity. Now when I am unable to go barefoot I can slip on my Vivo’s and still feel the earth under my feet. Click here to visit the website.
